Calm in the storm

Mark 4:35-39 King James Version (KJV)

35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

A Peculiar People

Romans 12:2 KJV

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Peter 2:9 KJV

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

A Real Christian is an odd number anyway. He feels supreme love for One that he’s never seen; Talks familiarly every day to Someone he cannot see; Expects to go to heaven on the virtue of Another; Empties himself in order to be full; Admits that he is wrong so that he can be declared right; Goes down in order to get up; Is the strongest when he’s the weakest; Richest when he’s the poorest; Happiest when he feels the worst; He dies so he can live; Forsakes in order to have; Gives away so he can keep; Sees the invisible, Hears the inaudible, and Knows that which passes understanding. Jesus is the change

It’s all about the gospel….

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

Romans 3:10-11 None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.

Luke 13:3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

REPENT STRONGS CONCORDANCE

3340 metanoéō (from 3326 /metá, “changed after being with” and 3539 /noiéō, “think”) – properly, “think differently after,” “after a change of mind“; to repent (literally, “think differently afterwards”).

Greatest Love of All

Titus 3:4-7 King James Version (KJV)

4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
